A Quiet Place: Part II – book now for your Cineworld Unlimited screening

Try not to rustle that box of popcorn or bag of sweets during our upcoming Cineworld Unlimited screening of A Quiet Place: Part II. Like its blockbusting predecessor, this spine-tingling horror compels you to live vicariously through its characters and remain absolutely silent – until, of course, the moment comes for you to scream your head off.

Directed by John Krasinski, who both helmed and starred in the first film, A Quiet Place: Part II expands the mythology of a devastated Earth that has been ravaged by sound-sensitive aliens. Once again we pick up with the Abbott family: mother Evelyn (Emily Blunt), deaf daughter Regan (Millicent Simmonds) and son Marcus (Noah Jupe). At the end of the first film, they had collectively figured out how to use static noise against the rampaging creatures, effectively disabling their ultra-sound abilities.

However, that's only half the story. Now the Abbotts must set out into the big wide world to see if there are any other survivors. This brings them into contact with Emmett (Cillian Murphy), a man who is haunted by his own experiences with the aliens. (We also get a seat-gripping flashback sequence, featuring Krasinski's late character Lee, showing when the monsters first arrived on our planet.)
