- 76. IT CHAPTER TWO – Stephen King's doorstop tome IT was adapted to phenomenal success back in 2017, becoming the most financially successful horror movie of all time. But of course, that was only half of the story. Now, we're introduced to the likes of James McAvoy and Jessica Chastain as the grown-up Losers' Club members as they're drawn into one final battle with Bill Skarsgard's malevolent entity, Pennywise.
- 77. Downton Abbey – The regal ITV series makes the jump from the small screen to the silver screen, picking up in 1925 with the aristocratic Crawley family and their loyal servants. Scripted by series creator Julian Fellowes, the movie reunites us with
whole host of familiar faces including Hugh Bonneville's Lord Grantham and Maggie Smith's acerbic Dowager Countess.
- 78. The Goldfinch – Donna Tartt's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel is the multi-generational story of a troubled young man dealing with grief and art theft. Directed by Brooklyn's John Crowley, scripted by Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy's Peter Straughan and lensed by Blade Runner 2049's Roger Deakins, there's no denying it has a formidable pedigree. And then there's the cast: Ansel Elgort, Nicole Kidman, Jeffrey Wright and Sarah Paulson are among those starring.
- 79. Ad Astra – Can't get enough of Brad Pitt following Once Upon a Time in Hollywood? Then don't miss his next movie, in which he plays an astronaut who sets off into space in search of his missing father. Ad Astra (Latin for 'to the stars') is directed by The Lost City of Z's James Gray and shot by Interstellar's Hoyte van Hoytema, so we can surely expect a visual and philosophical treat.
- 80. Rambo: Last Blood – Sylvester Stallone shows those young bucks how it's done in this gnarly and blood-soaked addition to the long-running Rambo series. The titular Vietnam vet reluctantly lurches back into action to save a young woman from a Mexican drug cartel – judging from the tone of the trailer, expect plenty of gore and retribution in the manner of insanely violent predecessor Rambo from 2008.
- 81. The Farewell – Crazy Rich Asians scene-stealer Awkwafina demonstrates an all-new side to her talents in this sensitive and critically acclaimed drama. She plays Billi, a Chinese-born, American-raised woman who travels back to her birth country to visit her ailing grandmother, and word has it Awkawfina's performance is sensational.
- 82. Ready or Not – Thrills of an altogether more ghoulish and blackly comic variety are on offer in this irreverent mixture of grisly horror and big laughs. Samara Weaving gives a breakout performance as a young bride drawn into a sadistic game of life or death with her new in-laws – but underestimate her at one's peril...
