Space Jam: A New Legacy unleashes a slam-dunk of character posters

There are some new players on the court in this summer's sequel Space Jam: A New Legacy. The follow-up to the 1996 cult hit, starring Michael Jordan, puts basketball legend LeBron James at the centre of a goofy new Looney Tunes squad. Check out the new character posters.

The original Space Jam drew attention for its hybrid mixture of live-action and cartoon characters (similar to 1988's Who Framed Roger Rabbit). As you can see, all the old favourites are lining up to dunk some hoops alongside James: Bugs Bunny, Bugs, Lola, Tweety, Daffy, Roadrunner, Speedy and Taz.

Behind the camera is Malcolm D. Lee, who knows a thing about raucous comedy, having helmed the 2017 hit Girls Trip. Black Panther's Ryan Coogler is involved in a producing capacity.

Will Space Jam: A New Legacy live up to the legacy of the original movie? Let us know @Cineworld. It's scheduled for a theatrical release this summer, so stay tuned to the Cineworld blog for more details.
