The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It – one week until your Unlimited screening

In a week's time, we expect to see all you Cineworld Unlimited members cowering behind your popcorn. That's because our Cineworld Unlimited screening of The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It is taking a bow on Tuesday the 25th of May.

It's the third Conjuring movie and the eighth film overall in the blockbusting 'Conjuring Universe'. It all started back in 2013 with the first Conjuring, an account of a terrifying 1970s Rhode Island haunting that ensnared real-life ghost hunters Ed and Lorraine Warren. Embedded within the film was the possessed doll Annabelle – initially spotted within the Warrens' macabre cabinet of curiosities, Annabelle has gone on to lead her own series of films.

In The Devil Made Me Do It, the focus is firmly back on Ed and Lorraine (played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga). The movie is inspired by a bizarre and chilling court case in which demonic possession was used as a case for the defence, the first time such a thing had happened in US legal history. It will prove to be the ultimate test of Ed and Lorraine's commitment and faith.

The film is directed by The Curse of La Llorona's Michael Chavez and produced by Conjuring veteran James Wan (whose own Saw franchise now gets a spin-off in the form of Spiral).
