Tom Holland posts Spider-Man 3 set photo with his brother

It's a family affair on the set of Spider-Man 3, as Tom Holland shares a heartwarming photo with his younger brother, Harry. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie is currently shooting in Atlanta, and Holland greeted his sibling in the only way a Spider-Man can. Holland described it as "one of the highlights of my career" and it's surely enough to take one's mind off the gloomy winter months.

Rumour has it that Harry Holland will be playing a criminal who's apprehended by Spider-Man, although this is just hearsay at the moment.

What could we possibly be "buckling up" for? Maybe it's Spider-Man 3's allusions towards the multiverse concept? We already know that Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus and Jamie Foxx's Electro, both non-MCU villains, are featuring. Does this signal an expansion of the live-action Spidey saga whereby myriad characters are imported from Marvel comic book lore? The fact that the dimension-shifting Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is also featuring, presumably in a mentor role, makes this possibility even more likely.

Spider-Man 3 is a key chapter in Marvel Phase Four, encompassing Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder. It may well be Holland's final solo Spider-Man movie, although he's due to appear in a future Marvel Studios project.

Directed by Jon Watts, who helmed Spider-Man Homecoming and Far From Home, Spider-Man 3 co-stars Zendaya, Tony Revolori, Jacob Batalon. It's set for release (at the time of writing) on 17th December 2021. Do you want to see the Holland family featuring in the new movie? Let us know @Cineworld.
